OK, I've got the system now, and having errors with an unknown device
on ahc0:

-------------------------------------- 8< --------------------------------------
ahc0 at pci3 dev 2 function 0
ahc0: interrupting at irq 5
ahc0: aic7899 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs
scsibus0 at ahc0: 16 targets, 8 luns per target
ahc1 at pci3 dev 2 function 1
ahc1: interrupting at irq 5
ahc1: aic7899 Wide Channel B, SCSI Id=7, 16/255 SCBs
scsibus1 at ahc1: 16 targets, 8 luns per target
ahc0:A:6: Message reject for 8 -- ignored
probe(ahc0:0:6:0): Unexpected busfree in Message-in phase
probe(ahc0:0:6:0): generic HBA error

 [...]

sd0 at scsibus0 target 0 lun 0: <SEAGATE, ST336607LC, 0002> SCSI3 0/direct fixed
sd1 at scsibus0 target 2 lun 0: <SEAGATE, ST336607LC, 0002> SCSI3 0/direct fixed

scsibus0 target 6 lun 0: <SUPER, GEM318, 0> SCSI2 3/processor fixed not configured

-------------------------------------- 8< --------------------------------------

Does anybody know what this GEM318 could be?
Do I need to worry about the "unexpected busfree" and "generic HBA error"
messages?

Or is this, what you call "having a fit"? Though, there ARE devices on this bus.

Thanks

Chris
