i've been have similar problems with a tyan mpx board. with acpi,
the cardbus now gets an interrupt and the pcmcia at cardbus gets
configured, but the lucent wavelan still doesnt work. [ see this msg
reminded me to ask here, as suggested on current-users. ]

Subject: cbb interrupt problem with tyan-mpx

i'm having trouble getting a pci cbb to work in the Tyan-MPX i bought
(for SMP experimentation). it worked in the previous asus board. i'm
not too keen on pc hardware and after trying various BIOS knobs, i must
ask for help/suggestions/clue.

the pci cbb is the one that lucent sells to service a wavelan card. in
the tyan board it claims to have difficulty finding an interrupt (no idea
what cbb1 is).

cbb0 at pci2 dev 7 function 0: Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (rev. 0x01)
cbb0: NOT USED because of unconfigured interrupt
cbb1 at pci2 dev 7 function 1: Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (rev. 0x01)
cbb1: NOT USED because of unconfigured interrupt

in the asus board it looked like:

cbb0 at pci0 dev 12 function 0: Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (rev. 0x01)
Texas Instruments PCI1225 PCI-CardBus Bridge (CardBus bridge, revision 0x01) at pci0 dev 12 function 1 not configured

cbb0: interrupting at irq 11
cardslot0 at cbb0 slot 0 flags 0
cardbus0 at cardslot0: bus 0 device 0
pcmcia0 at cardslot0

wi0 at pcmcia0 function 0: Lucent Technologies, WaveLAN/IEEE, Version 01.01
wi0: 802.11 address 00:02:2d:01:b1:a2
wi0: using Lucent Technologies, WaveLAN/IEEE

with FIXUP (and FIXUP_FORCE) turned on, it seems to fix what appears
to be a bad address (devices 6 and 7 [newer and original versions of
the card]). but, no love. the cardbus memory regions are still 0x0.

adding acpi (is there more info on exactly what this chip is supposed to
do - i'm rather lost), near success, but the wavlan doesnt get configured
or even noticed. presumably related to "cbb0: bad Vcc request.", whatever
that means.

advice?
