I've fixed this now. Update your kernel, and the USER_LDT system calls
should work fine again. I tested wine with wordpad and winword.exe
from MS Office off an old NT partition, which worked ok.

I must say that Wine got better since I last tried it (although
it spews a lot of warnings on stderr, but none of them are apparently
fatal).
