Because GRUB is a lot more handy and has advanced features that can
help to bring your system up with the totally screwed bootloader,
while `mbr_bootsel' is more like a stub. There is no need neither
in any other tools nor even in operating system at all to resurrect
a dead box. GRUB has helped me lots of times like no other tool
ever did and it's very useful to have it installed.
