Subject: More unresponsiveness, looking for any insight

My wedging problems do not appear to involve the CDROM drive at all
anymore. Just now while running newfs (on wd0) the system started doing
the whole freeze/thaw cycle.

One the console and in /var/log/messages I find only

Sep 28 17:24:39 anomaly /netbsd: usl_detachtimeout
Sep 28 17:25:06 anomaly /netbsd: usl_detachack: not detaching
Sep 28 17:25:18 anomaly /netbsd: usl_detachtimeout
Sep 28 17:25:44 anomaly /netbsd: usl_detachack: not detaching

What do these messages mean?

BTW, is this the right list to use for these issues?

Thanks,
Nicholas
