did anybody upgrade her net4501 to 1.6 successfully?

Yes, I _did_ use serial bootblocks - I netbooted the INSTALL kernel,
escaped to shell, and reinstalled them manually to be sure about that.

Unfortunately, the bootblock timeout is ~0s for me (hm, I have the
0.99soemthig firmware - is there a timer problem on it?) so I can't=20
netboot a kernel and tell it to go find the disk root...

Any suggestions?
