Hi,

I've got a tulip based Asanté ethernet card that started to misbehave
after a 1.5K ('de') -> 1.6rc3 ('tlp') upgrade:

Sep 9 20:47:34 heap /netbsd: tlp0 at pci0 dev 13 function 0: DECchip
21140A Ethernet, pass 2.2
Sep 9 20:47:34 heap /netbsd: tlp0: interrupting at irq 12
Sep 9 20:47:34 heap /netbsd: tlp0: Ethernet address 00:00:94:a0:d2:72
Sep 9 20:47:34 heap /netbsd: tlp0: 10baseT, 100baseTX, 10baseT-FDX,
100baseTX-FDX

[...]

Sep 9 20:48:27 heap /netbsd: tlp0: transmit underrun; new threshold:
96/256 bytes
Sep 9 20:50:37 heap /netbsd: tlp0: transmit underrun; new threshold:
128/512 bytes
Sep 9 23:48:47 heap /netbsd: tlp0: transmit underrun; new threshold:
160/1024 bytes
Sep 10 08:42:17 heap /netbsd: tlp0: transmit underrun; new threshold:
store and forward mode

During nightly backup runs with high network activity, I get an
endless stream of

Sep 12 20:57:57 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: CRC error
Sep 12 22:00:00 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: frame too long
Sep 12 22:00:00 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: CRC error
Sep 12 22:05:40 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: dribbling bit
Sep 12 22:05:40 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: CRC error
Sep 12 22:06:40 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: dribbling bit
Sep 12 22:06:40 heap /netbsd: tlp0: receive error: CRC error

[...]

Who is at fault? The card, or the driver?
