Not yet: I've only just read my first mention of them in a
magazine interview with WenChi Chen.

As I understand it VIA bought Cyrix but most of the Cyrix
III (not C3) development team walked away, so C3 was
developed from IDT's work.  That's probably a gross over-
simplification though.
