Hello.

During the kernel device discovery, I get messages like:

  tlp10 at pci5 dev 6 function 0: DECchip 21140A Ethernet, pass 2.2
  : unable to map device registers

What does that mean, and how might it be fixed?

This system, a single P4, has five quad-port ethernet cards.
tlp0 thru tlp9 are properly attached, but tlp10 thru tlp19 are not.
If these cards are moved into a different system, a dual PPro, then
all devices are properly attached.

Each onboard device that is turned off from the BIOS, like IDE or
floppy or SCSI, enables an additional tlp* to attach.

This is an IBM Intellistation M Pro.  I have included the entire
dmesg output below.
