Ok, I've built and installed a kernel with the same configuration as
the previous one and they are to no surprise identical...

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 4348141 Feb 20 01:19 netbsd
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 4348141 Feb 16 21:30 onetbsd

NetBSD 1.5ZA NetBSD 1.5ZA (PING) #1: Wed Feb 20 01:14:28 CST 2002
root@:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/PING i386

I'm now running the newly created kernel and yes, gcc-3.1 has no
problems building a new kernel. Don't know about rebuilding a complete
NetBSD distribution, but I suspect that it should be able to do so
too.

Just as a note aside: I'm also using the current binutils. The system
was built from the current netbsd, x11 and kde2.x cvs sources. So, it's
pretty much on the bleeding edge...

Sysinfo of target system: Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop, 1GHz PIII,
64Mb Radeon 7500 and UXGA screen.

Works like a charm.... NetBSD rocks.... ;-)
