Hi! A GNU/Linux user for 3 years, decided to try nbsd and purchased
Watsabi CD-ROMs. Installation and config of printing and X went very
smoothly. The nbsd install led me to improve SCSI controller setup.

Have read the guide, additional docs, etc. but have run into a big snag
trying to get pppd configured. Can ping localhost and talk to the modem
with cu. When starting pppd and watching /var/log/messages in another
console, I get:

Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/tty00

but then the modem instantly hangs up. This behavior is indefinitely
repeatable. The same hardware works flawlessly with pppd on GNU/Linux,
Slackware distribution, so I have probably made a configuration error
with nbsd.

Suggestions, please? Which config files should I send you, if any?

Lucien

PS Does nbsd already support smp on i386?
