I really like my Serverworks based systems also.

I really think this depends on where you are going to put the AMD based
system.  Be aware that there are major concerns about CPU cooling fan
failures on AMD based system.  The latest Intel CPU's have onboard
circuitry that will clock throttle the CPU if an increase in temp is
determined.  Last I researched the AMD CPU's do not and depend on
circuitry on the momboard.  Some tests have been done that show that this
off CPU solution does not respond quick enough, and overheating could
still occur.

I'm leaving my servers on Intel based systems for now.  For home use or in
an environment where I can afford the total loss of a system AMD is okay.

Things may have changed since I last looked at this at the beginning of
Dec 2001.
