Yes but the problem is it changes the way the whole IDE conroler works thus 
can't be considered a straight IDE conroler.

by definition... but I still quiry the P4 being intel compatable.

P4 1.2Ghz v's Athlon 1.2Ghz; P4 is 10<75%/infinitly slower: 
P4 1.2Ghz v's K6-2 500 (@ 600Mhz); P4 is -300%<25%/Infinirlty slower 
Ah I never can get over that last benchmark
