Is there support in NetBSD land for any ADSL Modems that do PPP over
ATM?
Or am I stuck with an ADSL router to do the hardwork?

The reason I ask is that the billing conditions in my neck of the woods
does not encourage being connected to the network while idle. 

So I'd like to implement an on demand link and I can't think of a clever
method to control an external router - apart from dropping power to the
device :)
