Hey there folks,
Just recently resurrected my old 486, and rather that just building
another linux box, I decided to be a little different and drop neeBSD 1.5 on
it, I got the base system and everything installed, but none of the devices
really work, and I'm pretty sure they're all supported devices. so here
goes. I's a non-pnp PHOENIX bios machine, with just an ISA bus, with a
ne2k-isa 10bT network card, and one of those goofy old CD-ROMS that plug
into the sound card, and a ZIP drive plugged into the parallel port (I don't
know if that last one is supported or not) In any case, I downloaded the
NetBSD guide, just to have some reference material while I was getting
everything up and running, so I set about rebuilding the kernel to activate
at least the NIC, Soundcard, and CD-Rom, well, no dice, none of them work on
the new kernel. Anybody out there got a similar machine? or at least know
what sort of kernel config I oughta be doing?

                       --Shawn
