I have the ECS K7S5A motherboard with SiS 735, and it seems to be
generally working. PCI IDE works fine:

pciide0: bus-master DMA support present
pciide0: primary channel wired to compatibility mode
wd0 at pciide0 channel 0 drive 0: <ST320423A>
wd0: drive supports 32-sector PIO transfers, LBA addressing
wd0: 19536 MB, 16383 cyl, 16 head, 63 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 40011300 sectors
wd0: 32-bit data port
wd0: drive supports PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 4 (Ultra/66)
pciide0: primary channel interrupting at irq 14
wd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (Ultra/33) (using DMA data transfers)
pciide0: secondary channel wired to compatibility mode
atapibus0 at pciide0 channel 1: 2 targets
cd0 at atapibus0 drive 0: <SONY CD-ROM CDU4821, MT1198-B Firmware, S0.Q> type 5 cdrom removable
cd0: 32-bit data port
cd0: drive supports PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (Ultra/33)
pciide0: secondary channel interrupting at irq 15
cd0(pciide0:1:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (Ultra/33) (using DMA data transfers)

USB attaches as ohci:

ohci0 at pci0 dev 2 function 2: Silicon Integrated System 5597/5598 USB host controller (rev. 0x07)
ohci0: interrupting at irq 10
ohci0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support
usb0 at ohci0: USB revision 1.0
uhub0 at usb0
uhub0: Silicon Integra OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1
uhub0: 3 ports with 3 removable, self powered
ohci1 at pci0 dev 2 function 3: Silicon Integrated System 5597/5598 USB host controller (rev. 0x07)
ohci1: interrupting at irq 5
ohci1: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support
usb1 at ohci1: USB revision 1.0
uhub1 at usb1
uhub1: Silicon Integra OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1
uhub1: 3 ports with 3 removable, self powered

but I can't verify if it actually works. I tried an old USB Zip drive
that I had trouble with on a VIA UHCI system and it had different
but similarly disabling problems with the SiS controller, so it could
be that the drive is toast. (Though I did have it working with an Intel
chipset at one point.)
I'm also having trouble getting the built-in ethernet to work, but
so far I'm not convinced if this is a firmware or a driver problem.
Overall, though it isn't fancy or forgiving of misconfiguration, once
it is set up it seems to be a fairly solid, well performing motherboard.
