Ok, I've reinstalled the system, and with softdeps enabled,
managed to: rebuild the kernel, do a 'make build', rebuild
XFree86, mozilla, and more. No problems. Code was CVS'd
two days ago.

The PC has the sources for 1.5.2 installed too. I mounted
them over NFS on a Sparc Classic running 1.5.2 kernel,
1.5.1 world for a 'make build'. Here 's the debugger message
and stack trace:

panic: softdep_pageiodone: resid < 0, vp 0xd7f97944 lbn 0x0 pcbp
0xd812e000
Stopped in pid 129 (nfsd) at cpu_Debugger+0x1: ret

softdep_pageiodone(c083ef08,c08ef08,1,d7be6a50,c056bb3c) at
softdep_pageiodone+0x159

Upon reboot, I get the following error when it tries to run nfsd:
panic: softdep_pageiodone: resid < 0, vp 0xd7c0e5a0 lbn 0x0 pcbp
0xd7c12000
Stopped in pid 127 (nfsd) at cpu_Debugger+0x1: ret

Hmm, I will now try booting single-user to see if I can get in
and turn off nfsd....and that worked. Here's the dmesg for the
system. Boots off of /dev/wd0a (rest of that disk is win2k),
and /usr is on /dev/wd0a, the whole disk.
