Now that the issue came up, I remembered my own panic with softdeps.
Or, as above, I recall the debugger talking about softdeps just before
cpu_Debugger line.

My system is plain 1.5, Pentium 100 MHz with IDE drives. For me,
the panic occured while dump(8)ing / (IIRC) to new drive.

I'm not sure if I can reproduce this accurately. I switched softdeps
off as soon as this happened. OTOH, I've been using softdeps on another
machine all the time with no problems.
