Tried booting with only one disk (both the quantum and the seagate) to no
avail. problem persists, i'am thinking it's the SCSI hostcontroler.

Anyone got the Adaptec 29160 working with 1 SCSI 3 and 2 SCSI 2 devices?

Other OSes boot fine (debian potato OpenBSD 2.9 FreeBSD 4.2)
