ifconfig will set it for you.  Something along the lines of

	ifconfig ne0 down
	ifconfig ne0 up media 10BaseT mediaopts full-duplex

Use 

	ifconfig -m ne0

to find out the supported media and mediaopts names - they have to
be spelled correctly!

You won't see your MAC show up anywhere until you get the link up.
