Yes.  ttyE4 (vt05) is not running a getty or anything else.  Card is a
TNT 2 Ultra (Diamond MM Viper 770 w/32MB).

Haven't tried.  First thing I did was to rebuild the kernel.

No.  The keyboard is completely unresponsive. I can't even get a numlock
going on it.
