I'm using 1.5 on my laptop, and recently I discovered that I have some
bad sectors, but when I tried to use bad144 remap these sectors, it
seemed to have no effect; it still gives me errors when I fsck the
filesystem.  Does bad144 actually _work_?  Am I missing something?  I'd
use badsect, except that the errors cover filesystem metadata.
