Hrm.

I think my Thinkpad 760s (an X and an ED, I believe) both did that
too. (I'd check, but they're in various states of disarray because
there's only one working keyboard and no working screen between the
two of them.)

I don't recall this ever causing trouble, but it doesn't seem
*right* necessarily. Unless you can relate it to a specific PCMCIA
card, it may well be just an oddity of the PCMCIA bus in IBM's
laptop architecture.
