Hi,

a few weeks ago, I installed NetBSD 1.5 on my Toshiba Libretto 50CT, after
successfully using FreeBSD for several months. While the system generally
works without problems, I still have some questions about the
configuration:

1. On FreeBSD, I could quite easily configure the console to be able to
use German umlauts with the Libretto's American keyboard. I changed the
keymap so I could use combinations such as "Alt-a" in order to get an "ae"
character. On NetBSD, I don't know how to set up wscons to do something
with the Alt Key. Can someone help me here?

2. On FreeBSD, there was a pccardd daemon which dealt with the insertion
etc. of the ethernet card. pccardd automatically started dhclient in order
to configure the NIC. On NetBSD, I don't know how to achieve something
like this. I did not find a possibility to start a script or similar after
insertion or removal of a PC-Card.
Furthermore, FreeBSD automatically detached PC-Cards from the system
before it suspended the system using APM. NetBSD does not seem to do that.
Maybe I overlooked some details in the manpages I read so far, therefore I
am asking for help.
