Is there some sort of "scandisk" program to automatically do a surface scan
and try to move the data to another sector (or just mark that sector bad)?
My root is on /wd0a and my /usr is on /wd0e (which is getting the errors).
I looked at bad144 and badsect but they didn't look like exactly the right
programs.
This is, incidentally, an IBM 29G disk about 4 months old. A little scary to
be developing bad sectors.
Thanks all! -Mike
