Ok... I know a Catch-22 situation when it rises up and hits me in the face.

	Problem: Compaq ProLiant server with SMART2/E RAID. Boot floppies for
NetBSD 1.5 do not see it.

	Result: Unable to do initial install because NetBSD thinks there's no hard
drive.

	Second problem: I don't have another i386 system running NetBSD on which
to build a custom boot kernel that supports the RAID section.

	Third problem: I've tried using -current as suggested by Andrew Doran
(thanks!). This recognizes the RAID subsystem, but panic-traps immediately
after doing so, apparently due to the lack of something called a 'symbol
table.'

	Andrew had made some mention of making me a set of boot floppies that
corrects this issue, but that was nearly a week ago, and I have not heard
from him since. I can only assume that he's too busy with getting 1.5.1
into release phase.

	I'm not a programmer. All I'm trying to do here is get that frelling
Compaq loaded up so I can put it to work as an FTP library. I'm willing to
hook up a temporary hard drive that NetBSD can install itself to as long as
doing so will lead to it being on the RAID subsystem.

	Would like to hear from others who have already gone through this process.
How did you do it? A step-by-step would be helpful, but I'll take darn near
anything I can get at this point.
