Here's another thing I now remember I did to make SO5.2 find all
libraries:

Add the line

  <StarOfficeRoot>/program

to /emul/linux/etc/ld.so.conf

(Where <StarOfficRoot> is of course the directory where Staroffice ist
installed, in my case the rather unorthodox /usr/office52.
