|  No, the airport cards are (as far as I know) specially made for newer
|  macs. They don't have any antenna (it built into the machine), and

  As a side note, I stuffed an Lucent card into the Airport slot
on my G4, and the Mac software did recognize the card (could read
the MAC address). No idea whether it would have actually worked.
