Solid State Disk, I once had the luck to install one from Curtis 
("http://www.mncurtis.com/Curtis/CurtisProducts/ClipperTwo.htm"), 
the Clipper drive used standard PC66 SDRam Dimms with 1GB 
total (8x128MB) and did cost not much more than the Dimms alone 
(about USD 1.200,-- like it was standard that time). Compared to 
"real" disks they were *very* expensive, but a 500MB databasefile 
loaded in next to nothing.
