Depending on the model, take an early Bios and see some 
problems with a Matrox card and a 2940UW! (the Matrox and 
2940UW combination seems to be a good candidate to find 
problems with fresh released mobos, seems they need some 
special timings)

Only original Intel boards seem to have no problems with this 
combination (even when using the same chipset) but they have 
other problems and I do not like their support. Asus and Abit seem 
to react quickly to such problems, and provide solutions faster than 
others.
