If you need to "su" to root from that account, be sure that it's a
member of the group "wheel", otherwise it won't be allowed to su to
root.

If not, enabling sshd is as easy as adding "sshd=YES" in /etc/rc.conf
and doing "/etc/rc.d/sshd start". You might want to take a look at
/etc/sshd.conf.
