NetBSD/i386 (this isn't true for all NetBSD ports) uses a 2-level partition
sheme: You create a primary MBR partition for NetBSD, of type 169.
Then in this partition you have the NetBSD disklabel, which describe the
partitions for this disk. Usually all partitions in the disk label are
inside the NetBSD MBR partition. You can add partitions outside of the
NetBSD MBR partition (which can match a FAT partition for example) but this
isn't done automatically.
