Is your CD-ROM drive listed in the BIOS?  It shouldn't be--especially not if
your BIOS doesn't have an "ATAPI" or "CDROM" device type available.
Basically, pretend that there's *nothing* on the IDE busses in the BIOS
(just don't disable the controller); the CD will be picked up by the kernel.
