    I put the SB16 sound card back into the Compaq Deskpro XL 566. It wasn't a DMA
conflict. Apparently the audioplay software needs to have the device specifically
addressed even though it is the only one in the system.

# audioplay -v 255 -f /dev/audio0 file

I have another unit that does not have this need to be specific in addressing the
device.
