Hi, I'm running a K6-2/400 256MB ECC 45G ATA disk with 1.5. I had 3 ssh
sessions into the machine (coming from a windows box, if it matters). One
was running "top -S -s 1" at priority -20. Another was running "ntop" at
priority -11. The third ssh session was idle at the command prompt, priority 0.

When I looked at the "top" session (I was busy, and had just come back to the
machine), the time in the upper left hand was frozen and after checking the
other two sessions, they, too, were dead.

At the console, ctrl-alt-esc produced the debug prompt, and "ps" produced a
reasonable-looking list of processes. The ">" process was "top". Since
the machine seemed responsive and working, I continued, was able to get
the login: prompt and then proceeded to log in, giving the password.

Then, no shell prompt; I -could- still hit the "Enter" key to get a linefeed,
or type keys, but the machine was otherwise non-responsive.

ctrl-alt-esc was still working, but, again, everything looked "fine" to my
eye, anyway.

This has happened two or three times now, and I was wondering how I should go
about tracking this down?

Thanks! -Mike
