Only the ability to build distribution floppies using the standard
Makefiles ... but you're probably not going to care too much about
that (converting them to use a real floppy drive shouldn't be that
hard, if you ever find the need to make the things).

There are some other uses of vnds, but none that will occur without
your knowledge that I know of.
