isn't there a way to do this is "software" with wsconsctl? i expected
that doing something like

    wsconsctl -w map+="keycode 83 = Delete" map+="keycode 211 = Delete"

might make it "work", but it's still not "right". or do i need to
restart x for this to make me happier?
