Subject: parallel printer port problems?

I'm seeing what I suspect is flaky behavior from the parallel printer
port on my two i386 boxes.

One of them also runs Billware, so I tried copying the same file using
that OS to the printer, and it prints just fine. Under NetBSD, it looks
like there are some data repeated or otherwise corrupted (groups of
lines repeated in "stuttering" like patterns). Same behavior from all
of lpa0np, lpt0, lpa0. I set the port for SPP mode in the BIOS (I'm
presuming that means "standard parallel port").

Any ideas?
