Having trouble configuring my ESS audiodrive to work under
NetBSD 1.5 BETA 2. It's plug and play (*sigh*), but I get:

isapnp0: read port 0x203
isapnp0: <ESS ES1868 Plug and Play AudioD, ESS0000, , > port
        0x800/8 not configured
ess0 at isapnp0 port 0x220/16,0x388/4,0x330/2 irq 5 drq 1,0
ess: can't map SCR access registers
ess0: essmatch failed
isapnp0: <ESS ES1868 Plug and Play AudioD, ESS0001, , > port
        0x201/1 not configured

I recall that I wasn't able to make my RealTek NE2000 clone
work in PnP mode, either (solved by putting it in jumperless
mode). So, possibly this is a PnP problem not an ESS
problem? (I've checked dev/isapnp/isapnpdevs for
appropriate ID entries, etc, & all looks to be in order).

There's also a whole load of lines like
    PNPxxxx (stuff) index x ignored
right at the start of bootup; I don't know about this.

Auxillary question: how would one put a PnP device on a
particular IRQ/port etc.? [Prior experience with PnP has
been with the linux isapnp package, so I may just have the
wrong idea here altogether :-) ]

Thanks
