So, my i386 machine actually *doesn't* hang now; "apm -z" gets about a 20
second delay, followed by
	APM set power state <1,2>: unable to enter requested state (0x6007)
on console.  After it does this, it "wakes back up" and re-configures the
network, etcetera.

It does this even with no PC cards inserted, so it's not the card power thing.

"apm -S" works.

"apm -z" worked a month or so back, and for at least a year before that.

This machine (ThinkPad 380Z) needs APM_DISABLE_INTERRUPTS=0, and that is
indeed set.

Anyone know of any related changes in recent ages?
