Right. But I was wondering about the performance of the good oldy
ISA based 10MBps NICs. Converting the 10 million bits into megabytes
gives about 1,19 megabytes, of course. And I have let my self
understand that there is quite some overhead around and that the
real world performance wouldn't come near but...

I have two NetBSD machines. The other is 100MHz, the other 133MHz
Pentium. Both have ISA NE2000 cards. Throwing a file with ftp
from either to the other gives overall performance of 1,1MB/s.
First I saw that, I was all like:
Well, Really, this is something!
