I found this info at IBM's web site (really long page link at end of
message) Slightly more useful, Manuel?
"(copied from IBM.COM).....
Docking Station 2 (3546-001):
The Docking Station 2 uses an Adaptec AHA-1520 controller. It's default
hardware settings are: - I/O Port: 340
- IRQ: 11
- ROM BIOS: DC00-DFFF
You can alter the BIOS settings by using the dip switches. The table below
lists the various combinations and effect.
Switch Block Settings:
SW1 SW2 SW3 BIOS Address
OFF OFF OFF DC000h to DFFFFh (Default Setting)
OFF OFF ON CC000h to CFFFFh
OFF ON OFF D4000h to D7FFFh
OFF ON ON BIOS Disabled, board inactive on reset (Disables
SCSI)
ON OFF OFF D8000h to DBFFFh
ON OFF ON C8000h to CBFFFh
ON ON OFF D0000h to D3FFFh
ON ON ON BIOS Disabled, board active on reset. (Disables SCSI
BIOS only)
- SW4 is used to change the IO port address.
- OFF - 340H to 35FH (Default setting.)
- ON - 140H to 14FH.
Other SCSI settings can be performed by using the Adaptec SCSISelect
Utilities on the board. Boot system and when prompted, press CTRL+A to get
into the Adaptec SCSISelect Utilities. You have two options:
- Configure/View Host Adapter Settings.
- SCSI Disk Utilities.
Select the Configure/View option. The primary entries you want are:
- Host Adapter Interrupt (IRQ.)
- Shows the current setting and allows you to select a different IRQ for the
SCSI adapter to use.
- Host Adapter SCSI Termination.
- Allows you to select either Automatic or Disabled.
- Advanced Configuration Options.
- Allows you to get to Host Adapter BIOS to disable it.
Resetting System:
After selecting Configure/View Option you can also reset the SCSI system to
factory defaults by pressing the F6 key.
