Subject: "support" for VPC?

How much tolerance would there be for adding
options VPC_CPU
to port-i386, and having the various hacks VPC requires turned on if we find
a CPU that probes as "ConnectixCPU"?
So far as I can tell, there are known issues with PCI configuration mode,
the de driver, and the numeric coprocessor. (I found a very interesting
page at http://www.nightbreak.org/NetBSD/VPC/ with info on this.) I have
also had trouble with the PS/2 mouse and the CD, but these are probably
fixable.
However, before I start doing anything silly like making code changes, I'd
like to know what level of interest there would be in adding this to the tree.
