Has anyone had a problem getting the cd-audio channel working with the eap0
driver & ATAPI CD-ROMs?

I have tried using two mixxers, xmmix (motif) as well as cam (both from
pgksrc). In both, the CD-Audio channel volume is maxed.

I go into "cdplay", as root, which attempts to access /dev/rcd0d. I get the
prompt, type "play" - no audio output. Type "volume 100 100", still nothing.

Note: I managed to lock my machine solid by adjusting the volume in "cdplay",
while xmmix was open. The numlock key responded, but the machine was
unresponsive to ICMP.

Here is the dmesg output from my 1.5_Alpha kernel:

eap0 at pci0 dev 15 function 0: Ensoniq AudioPCI 97 (rev. 0x08)
eap0: interrupting at irq 11
eap0: Crystal CS4297A codec; headphone, 20 bit DAC, 18 bit ADC, Spatializer 3D
audio0 at eap0: full duplex, mmap, independent
midi0 at eap0: AudioPCI MIDI UART

cd0 at atapibus0 drive 0: <Compaq CRD-8400B, 1999/01/07, 1.02> type 5 cdrom rem
ovable
cd0: 32-bit data port
cd0: drive supports PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, Ultra-DMA mode 2
cd0(pciide0:1:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (using DMA data transfers)

All input appreciated!

Thanks,
