Usually it displays the name of the device, the bus it is attached to,
the name of the card, or at least of the chip, the network connector
types available and used (e. g. 10base2, 10baseT, ...), and the
hardware address.

Every driver does this in a slightly different way, maybe one should
file a "change-request" PR to make it consistent accross all drivers
of the same type. But then again this does not seem to have high
priority.
