I just have two NetBSD machines with wireless here.  I don't think
there's an IBSS creator nearby.  It is, however, not always finding
the network--sometimes the ifconfig works, sometimes it doesn't, so
that might be the reason.

Hmmm...  Do I need an MS-Windows machine to make use of those
utilities?
