I understand why they can't be shared.  I don't understand why I'm getting
this message on a laptop only on warm boots.  Cold boots are fine.

I'm guessing it's the sound hardware, but I have no real idea what the
sound hardware is; it's supposed to be SB-compatible, but it was probing
as a wss.
