hmm...assuming the second command there is fdisk and not disk...what
do i tell it if fdisk (for the first command) responds:

  fdisk: DIOCGINFO: Inappropriate ioctl for device

do i feed it /dev/rwd0d instead?  /dev/rwd0c?
