okay race fans here we go:
Keep in mind that the computer right next to it ( The wifes win95 machine ) can
get to www.weather.com without fail everytime.

I'm running a 1.4.1 userland and a 1.4.2_ALPHA kernel.

I tried to go to www.weather.com for a couple of days and it wouldnt work so I
thought .. well lets see whats up.
I found that in NetBSD 1.4.2_ALPHA in the console -no X- I could ping
www.weather.com
I could also ping it in an xterm prior to opening up netscape.

When I open netscape and try to get to the site it gives me some erronious
error about the document containing no data.
So after that I try to ping www.weather.com and it said something about
"communication prohibited..." as you can see below.

before opening netscape:
------------------------------------------------------------------
(root@jennifer) ping www.weather.com
PING www.weather.com (206.151.166.121): 56 data bytes

---------------------------------------------------------------------
opening netscape:

(root@jennifer) netscape &

----------------------------------------------------------------------
then trying to ping again:

tell. Here's a dmesg anyhow just in case:
