I have not been happy at all with my 3c905b-tx 3com card. I used to run a
rtl3139 under linux and never had a peep out of it it worked all the time.
NetBSD did not have support for the rtl8139 so I grabbed a 3com 3c905b and
it has just never ceased to give me hickups. I remember it flaking out a few
times under 1.4 where I could ping the machine 1 out of 5 tries.. it's just
become a hassle. Do we have rtl8139 support in 1.4.2_ALPHA ? and will that
kernel work with a 1.4.1 userland ? Or should I really just buy a PCI NE2000
and move on ? It is just frustrating.

Thanks!
Tony Hernandez
